| | shleepy | ] | It's 8:45 pm and I'm slumped on my couch too stuffed and stoned to do anything I don't want to do. I've been eating all day, and I'm finally full. Jen and I popped a store-bought four cheese pizza adorned with green onions, jalapenos and a good distribution of bacon squares in the oven for 21 minutes at 400 sizzling degrees. We.Are. In.Heeeeeeeeaven. (Despite stightly over-satisfied tummies).
A spiral of slotted miniature disco lights march inward and glowingI think the night will wind down early after we plop down for a couple episodes of The Musters. And maybe just enough butter pecan ice cream to play my palate. :) |

| | fine | ] | I cannot convey how deeply I desire to live in Middle Earth and fuck Aragorn and/or Faramir every hour of the day. At least there, the noble people are noble. |

| | very much alive | ] | Yesterday my stupid boyfriend didn't inform me as to when his doctor's appointment was, so I made other plans with James Glader, my old dancing friend who is a photographer, and who happens to be totally in love with me. He came all the way down from Ft. Collins to have a photo shoot with me at my house. He arrived, my mom left and we started shooting in my bay window, doing "beauty shots"-just me, relaxed, being beautiful. After the window, I sat on the rug between the two doors of my front door. He asked me if I would consider doing nudes and I said no, but that I would go topless. So I did, in my open doorway lol, because I was very comfortable and it was very professional. While in the process of changing my jeans to a skirt, Tyler called me and I accidentally picked up the phone. It was very awkward, as you can imagine, because I was half naked in front of another man who was taking pictures of me. James continued to photograph me while I told Tyler I was "mostly" clothed. Needless to say, he didn't like that, and texted me all day about what "mostly" meant. We're kind of in a strained spot right now, but we're hanging out and talking tonight, so everything will be ok. And I already apologized once.
After building me architecturally in one of the arches in my house, James made a move on me. Well, he put down his camera, held me while I was covering myself, and tried to kiss me several times. Don't get me wrong, James is very attractive, and there was a point in time I would have probably hooked up with him, but this was wrong for several obvious reasons. Professional barrier broken. He tried to lift my arms around his neck and I just said, "I think it's time for my to put my clothes back on." I did. He remarked on the totally different look I had when we resumed shooting. Yeah no shit.
Over the course of the next couple hours, the tension dissipated and we had a lot of fun. I don't think many people know this, but I've always wanted to model somewhere in my heart. This was a really good experience, with a photographer who just wanted to have a muse shoot with me. He directed me, and I took the direction, straightening and lengthening my back and neck, making beautiful hands, and not furrowing my brow. (That what they always say on America's Next Top Model too ;)) The final frames were taken in my basement among the cobwebs, against a dirty mirror. I can't wait to see the photos after he edits them, and I'll probably end up on his website! Maybe. When my mom came home, he told her how he'd always wanted to work with me because he'd always thought I was such a beautiful woman, even though when we met I was 15 and had braces and long hair. Basically, he's just a tad bit enamored with me. I hope I make it to New York sometime so we can work in his studio.
I'm seriously thinking about trying to be a model on the side of everything else now. James has connections and can help me. It'd be nice if I could model for a little extra money. He took me out to Merle's in Littleton for dinner and we ate the most fantastically delicious buffalo burgers ever. Period. Who knew avocado and bbq sauce would ever work together? I'm a genius. Then we drove to the Merc for a fabulous night of dancing. It was the best time ever seeing all my old friends. I am soooo sore and immensely happy :) |
